We have dropped off thousands of packs of 2010 BIG-BALL Rugby Trading cards at the wonderful Santa's Shoebox depots. Each underprivileged child who gets one of the approx 70 000 present boxes will also be getting Rugby cards this year :)

THE MOST RARE CARD IN THE COLLECTION

Card 174 depicts the first ever Springbok team to win a Rugby World Cup and is the most rare card in the Collection. The card is in the stock that has been distributed but as the Collection has only been in the Trade for less than a month there is a reasonable chance that the boxes containing card 174 are still to be sent out to the stores - we are all waiting for the first person to find it :)

FREE PACKS AT ASC RUGBY CLINIC

Free packs of the 2010 BIG-BALL Rugby Trading Cards were handed out at the ASC Rugby Clinic held in April 2011 and also attended by a number of kids from disadvantaged schools who thoroughly enjoyed the experience. One boy at the Clinic already had almost the whole collection which everyone enjoyed looking at!

Gerhard Duraan, photographer for most of the BIG-BALL cards won the prestigious Photographer of the Year Award at the Sasol Springbok Media Awards which recognize excellence in reporting on Springbok Rugby.

In December 2010 BIG-BALL ran a Facebook campaign, together with Moms Matter (www.momsmatter.co.za), and donated 10 packs for every 'like' received resulting in 4400 packs of BIG-BALL Rugby Trading Cards being donated to the Toy Story Campaign. In addition, a further 6600 packs went to the Checkers Toy 4 Toy Project and 2200 to Tow-a-Toy. So that's a total of 13200 packs that were given out to make underprivileged children happy this Christmas!

The Limited Edition Dr Danie Craven card is now in BIG-BALL packs. It is a holographic foil card and has a short write-up and signature on the back. It is packed in the ratio of 1 in every 34 packs but placement of the packs in the cartons is relatively random. Hope you find one!
